Photos of grunge legend Kurt Cobain’s manged body will not be made public after his widow Courtney Love blocked their release. The Washington Court of Appeals on Tuesday ruled against releasing the 55 bloody photos from the Nirvana frontman’s 1994 suicide. Judges agreed with Love and her daughter Frances Bean Cobain that it would ‘violate the Cobain family’s due process rights under the 14th Amendment’. The photos show ‘Kurt Cobain’s body as it lay in the family residence after he was shot in the head’ with a shotgun, court documents said. Journalist Richard Lee sued the City of Seattle in 2014 to get the photos released under Washington state’s Public Records Act. Described by local newspapers .
